Before or after the performance, the audience meets the artists and discovers what lies behind the operatic voice: breath, body, costume, stage fright.
Midnight: the hour of mystery, the magic hour, the hour of tales. The hour when stories begin.

The Minuit Opéra company was founded in 2022 by soprano Laura Baudelet, who wanted to bring short, light-footprint opera shows blending the arts as close to audiences as possible. For her, being an artist is not only about performing: it also means imagining, inventing and bringing new worlds to life.
When music is staged and blended with theatre, magic, dance, circus or painting, it brings the arts together into a total show. The company presents recitals, narrated concerts and shows for all ages and for young audiences. It welcomes artists from every background, with whom it creates shows of variable format.
Its DNA: shaking up conventions without giving up artistic standards, bringing disciplines together and inventing new ways into opera. Theatre, literature, illusion, wine and humour all become paths towards the voice and the great repertoire.
Because passing on opera does not mean keeping a heritage behind glass. It means placing it in the hands of those who were not expecting it, so that it lives on.
